Extra-Curricular School Clubs

Our curriculum extends beyond that which happens during the school day. It is important for children to have school clubs to attend that will help them find and discover their interests and talents. The clubs that we run in the school have been carefully put together and have been planned as an opportunity to extend and build on children’s learning experiences from the classroom and the school day. Clubs also help to broaden children's thinking and give opportunities for informal fun learning that sometimes the classroom cannot facilitate.

Children need to choose a club that they have an interest to further their learning in and that they will be committed to.

We will do our best to accommodate children in their choice of club. If a club becomes full, we will hold a waiting list. Most clubs will be run by school staff who have a passion for and expertise in specific subjects and give up their time to do this. Some clubs will be run by experts and specialist third parties.

It is really important that children attend all sessions of the club that they are allocated to, otherwise they may lose their place and the place be offered to the next child on the waiting list.

We have a wide range of clubs on offer to children at the end of the school day including football, netball, brass band and guitars. A booking form is sent out at the beginning of each club starting so that children can book a place in a club.
