Remote Learning

This section of the website will give you information about remote learning at Maybury Primary School.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, Maybury Primary School may expect some disruption to the school routine by individual pupil, class, part school or whole school isolation. The school has considered DfE guidance for home learning and has a strategy in place to facilitate home learning if and when the need arises.

Maybury Primary School Remote Learning Information Report

 Spring Term Lockdown

Following the government's announcement that all schools were to close on Tuesday 5th January, the vast majority of our pupils are now learning at home.

Please click on the class drop down menu to find the remote learning details for your child.

If you do not have enough devices at home for your child/ren to take part in the remote learning sessions, please get in contact with the school office.  We have a Chromebook Loan Scheme in place and will do our very best to accommodate any request.

Keeping in Touch During Lockdown

As we move to remote learning during this period of lockdown, we know that regular contact with the children from their class teacher is vitally important. As in the first lockdown in March, we will still be carrying out regular doorstep visits. Regular daily contact can be carried out in the following ways:

Class Dojo: We are all used to using Class Dojo.  Staff from Maybury Primary School will monitor this site on each weekday posting messages and responding to any questions you or your child may have. A member of staff from your child's class bubble has been timetabled to monitor the messaging system during each lesson so that help can be given as your child is completing their work. We will also be using the Portfolio within Class Dojo to allow you to upload any photos of learning, completed pieces of learning and videos. You can also add photos in Dojo Messages.

Microsoft Teams: We are introducing 'live' sessions to children working at home during this period. Children will be invited to join these meetings, lessons and story time with their teacher and the other members of their class. The invitation to join the meeting will be posted as a link in Dojo Messages from your child's class teacher. Children will be able to discuss any work that they have completed or any problems they may have had.

Direct Contact: As always, you can contact school directly by calling the office during school hours or by emailing

Twitter and Facebook: We will continue to post information and celebration of children's work and achievements on our school Twitter and Facebook sites. Click on the class below or on the feed to the right to see our school-wide twitter feed.
